We made it home to celebrate Christmas with my family. We had safe flights with only a bit of delay in Salt Lake City. It was snowing there and so the plane needed to be deiced, but also we waited an extra long while for other passengers to get on the plane from their connecting flights since it was the last flight to Boise for the day. We had just run from our first plane so that we wouldn't miss our connection. We were glad to have made it, but the girls and I were wishing that we would have known we had more time since we hadn't had lunch yet. Usually I bring way too many snacks and end up not really needing them, so this time I decided to just bring some clementines. In Omaha, Brian ordered some lunch once we had made it through security, but our plane started boarding and the restaurant was not fast. So, Brian had got his food and was still waiting for the rest of ours before he finally decided that he was going to have to get on the plane and not miss the flight. When we finally got to Boise, our first stop outside the airport was to get some food. And, then mom made us some pancakes when we got home, too. Needless to say, I'll be stocking up on snacks before our return trip!
Today there were presents to open and Christmas dinner to eat with family. My brother's family and one of my aunts joined us for a good part of the day! And, in late afternoon, snow started to fall, so it became a white Christmas after all. It always nice to come home for Christmas and especially nice that Brian could come with us this year.
I hope all of you had an enjoyable Christmas!
