Days 1-3 December Thankfulness

Though November is the traditional month for giving thanks, this year the wellness program at work has a thankfulness activity for the month of December. If I record my thankfulness for a certain number of days, I have the chance to win a $25 gift card. I have yet to win one of the gift cards for any of the activities I've participated in, but I suppose I might just be healthier for the effort. At any rate, it is a good idea to be grateful and I've got plenty to be grateful for.

I'm starting a bit behind, but I'll get caught up here...

Saturday I was grateful for a day of rest since the girls and I had a cold last week. Clara had an earache Friday night and so we didn't sleep well. Also, I was grateful to have a chiropractor in the house so he could give us all adjustments to help us on our way to getting better. That was our Saturday evening activity to go over to the practice to check out Brian's new patient education setup in the waiting room and get adjustments...we're so exciting. =)

Yesterday was a rather warm day for us so the girls got to be outside to rake some leaves with daddy. So, I was thankful for the warmer weather, although it is strange and we really could use some snow sometime this winter. But, we did get to get into the Christmas spirit a bit when we were driving home in the dark after getting groceries by looking at the Christmas lights and singing Christmas songs. Clara had her requests and Nora asked for another each time a song finished.

Today I'm grateful for being home with Nora in the mornings two days a week. It is nice to spend time with each child by themselves. Clara gets her time with me for about an hour after school before we pick Nora up at daycare. Today we've read stories and played. For a little while Nora was playing by herself squeezing  the giant Tigger that talks. One of the things he says is, "You're the best!" Once he said that Nora yelled out "Yes!" She definitely agreed with that!
