Update

Oh my! I've neglected blogging for quite a long while. Needless to say, it's been a busy summer. Brian's been working very, very hard to remodel his practice. He is a DIYer to his very core and has done everything himself, acquiring a few new skills along the way. Today his dad came up from the farm to help him put up crown molding, so he is nearing the end. Brian already has a few established patients and has been learning the ropes of getting insurance reimbursement. And, Brian also made his own website for Abundant Life Family Chiropractic. All in all, I'm glad that Brian has this opportunity to build his own business from the ground up. I heard some positive news at a meeting on Friday that small businesses do best in the current type of economy.

Since mid-July I've been back to work. Daycare is working out well for both girls. Sarah does such a good job with them and it helps that Nora is a "chill baby." One of the other parents at daycare calls her that. Nora smiles easily and it does not take much to keep her happy. Once in awhile she will wake up in the middle of the night and not want to go back to sleep. Otherwise she is a good sleeper. She also loves to roll and scoot around. She gets herself to where she wants to go surprisingly well. I could not have asked for or prayed for a more delightful baby.

Clara is growing up too fast. The other day we were discussing the meaning of various words, one of which was "smart." Then she asked for a word that means really funny. I told her "hilarious." Then I asked her which she would want to be, smart or hilarious? With a big smile on her face, she said "hilarious." That's pretty much what she is everyday. She is becoming much more adventurous, too. That also means lots more scraped knees, elbows, and owies on the head.

Work is busy between class, lab, lab prep, and pumping milk for Nora (nothing like pumping to make you feel like a true milk cow). The quarter is soon to come to an end and I'll be ready for my very short break. I do enjoy teaching and I like the demographic of mostly nontraditional students that I serve.

It is hard to believe that Nora is already almost 6 months old! How time flies. Enjoyed the post and the pictures. Such sweet girls and glad to hear Mom and Dad are doing well, too. 8-)

Loved the update! When Clara asks for a word that means really pretty, you can tell her "gorgeous"--which is what both girls are!

Hi Misty. So glad you're blogging again. Brian is doing a great job with his DIY projects. Saw pictures on FB and it is looking nice. The girls are sooo cute with their big beautiful eyes. Who took the pictures? Great job!!!! How are the students there different from here? More personality, more characteristic, more genuine? Glad everyone is doing well. :-)
